Qualia Director Awarded Academic Prize

Mathers, Senior Creative and Director with Qualia has been awarded the
prestigious Duncan Gillard Memorial Medal on completion of his part-time
studies for an MA in Conservation Studies (Historic Buildings and the Built Heritage) at the University of York.
The Department of Archaeology awards the medal to just one student each
year for the best Conservation Studies dissertation. The dissertation, A Study of Authenticity in Relation to the Adaptive Reuse of Urban Industrial Buildings, was described by Gill Chitty, Course Leader, as "by far the best dissertation in a number of years and a distinguished achievement!" Richard says

great deal with my work as an interpretive designer, particularly with
regards to planning accessible visitor experiences in places of
historical and cultural interest.”
